Jess is a Destination Wedding Planner who resides in Northern Maryland. Her mom is Dominican and her dad is Haitian. A majority of her family married people from different ethnic backgrounds (Irish, Filipino, Peruvian etc). She grew up very family oriented appreciating all types of beauty no matter the race, religion, sexual orientation, or size! After entering the wedding industry Jess noticed the lack of diversity being represented and desperately wanted to make a change!

"Imagine picking up a bridal magazine and not being able to relate to the images you see. Everyday couples flip through those pages and see the lack of resources based on skin tone, size and/or sexual orientation. I want to change that standard of beauty and help make this an inclusive wedding community. "

Lead Publisher

Carling is a wedding photographer from Loudoun County, Virginia. She's been pursuing and educating herself in photography for almost 8 years. Carling is grateful for her job and being able to work with real couples for their weddings. She loves participating in styled shoots for photography practice, being able to executive certain visions, exercising her creativity, and networking with other wedding vendors. As a Chinese-American woman in an interracial relationship herself, she finds it extremely important to showcase and represent different races, sexualities, and sizes. That is why Carling is so passionate about being on this team and raising awareness to what this magazine is about.

Social Media Coordinator

Marissa Solomero is a Maryland photographer and the owner of Marissa Rose Photography. She serves the local DC, Maryland, and Virginia area and beyond (she loves to travel) As someone who is half-Filipino and half-African American, she grew up within a blended and diverse family that taught her the many traditions of her own cultures. She was also encouraged to get to know people from different cultural background and experience their diversity. As she got older she started to notice the lack of representation of that diversity within art and media, and so now she strives to use her passion to exhibit the beauty of our diversity. She wants others to see her work and see themselves represented within it, especially within the wedding photography industry.
