Washington D.C. Romance
Updated: Dec 12, 2019

The theme of our shoot was luxurious, vintage, vegan glam. So often when people think of vegan weddings images of fields of flowers, wineries and everything boho comes to mind . While that is absolutely fine we wanted to present an alternative option for brides in the DC/Maryland/ Virginia area who wanted to get married in the city instead of a countryside escape. All of the vendors are able to accommodate vegan couples in every aspect from fabric materials, to beauty products, food and more.
The shoot took place at Engine Company 12. It is a historic firehouse originally built and in service July 1st 1897 with an 1884 Clapp & Jones 450 GPM steam fire engine and 1887 E.B. Preston hose reel carriage. The Snowden Ashford designed firehouse was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. It was meticulously restored in 2013. When you step inside you are instantly enveloped by the history and elegance of this timeless gem and historical neighborhood landmark. Personally I think the lighting, and interesting historic details are breathtaking cherry on top for any lucky couple. - Ashley Peters
